Venues and host cities
Turn your destination into the arena.
A compact circuit, a fixed hour and a crowd that never loses sight of the race. Hosting VOLTA HOUR asks far less of a city than a marathon does.
Who hosts VOLTA HOUR
What hosting delivers
Sports tourism
Runners travel in groups and bring people with them.
Hotel room nights
An evening event pulls a night either side of it.
Local economic activity
Food, beverage, retail and transport across the event weekend.
Corporate engagement
One evening, no training plan, and everybody finishes.
Destination visibility
Premium night-time content shot at your venue.
Food and beverage revenue
The race village and afterparty run at your bars.
Community participation
Local run clubs compete against each other on a live board.
A repeatable annual event
Same circuit, same hour, every year.
International league connection
Your city on the global rankings and the championship pathway.
Limited road disruption
One closed kilometre for one evening, not a city shut down for a morning.
What a venue needs
- A continuous loop of roughly one kilometre that can be fully closed.
- Minimum three metres of running width throughout, five through the changeover zone.
- Floodlighting, or the ability to install it.
- Power for timing, screens and sound.
- Space adjacent to the circuit for a race village.
- Toilets, access for medical vehicles and a workable noise position.
