The official home of VOLTA HOUR.
VOLTA HOUR is the creator, rulebook owner, sanctioning organisation and international league operator of the VOLTA HOUR competition format.
What we do
- We own the format, the trademarks, the rules, the rankings, the records and the technology that runs them.
- We sanction events. An event that is not sanctioned by us is not a VOLTA HOUR event and its results do not count.
- We license cities to experienced local operators, who produce and commercially develop official events in their territory.
- We operate the international league: national rankings, continental championships and a World Final.
What we are not
- We are not an internationally recognised governing body for athletics, and we do not claim to be.
- We did not invent one-hour running. Timed one-hour running has a long history in athletics. We are building a new standardised city league and mass participation sport around the challenge.
- We do not have confirmed venues, confirmed cities, signed partners or completed events. When we do, they will be named here.
